Completion on Apartments is Nearing through Unique Partnership

FSL (Foundation for Senior Living) is pleased to announce that they are accepting applications for leasing at Spectrum Courtyard Apartments, a new affordable living/multi-family project, located at 21st and Missouri Avenues will be completed in early 2021. The property consists of 25 one-and two-bedroom apartment units and includes a partnership between FSL and First Place Transition Academy.

Spectrum Courtyard will provide multi-generational supportive housing for adults and seniors 55 years of age and older as well as young adults with a developmental disabilities diagnosed before the age of 22.  The project is expected to be complete and ready for move-in by February 2021.

“We’re excited to bring another affordable housing option to Central Phoenix,” said Steve Hastings, director of real estate, FSL. “We know the need for affordable housing is even greater than ever before. This is our second partnership with First Place Transition Academy. We’re excited for it to open and to begin welcoming residents.”

The one-bedroom units are 668 square feet and will lease for $700.  The two-bedroom units are 858 square feet and will lease for $826.  Both units will include a full kitchen, central air conditioning, a bathroom, window coverings and ceiling fans.  Additionally, FSL will operate a food pantry on property and plan resident activities as soon as it’s deemed safe due to COVID-19.

These independent living apartments will include handicap accessible features and field-validated supportive resident services designed to promote community and provide social enrichment to all residents as soon as it’s deemed safe due to COVID-19.

The First Place Transition Academy, operated by the Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center (SARRC), is a structured two-year program in the supportive environment of First Place–Phoenix that helps build crucial independent living and career-readiness skills. Participants can maximize their capacity to live more independently through our Learn4Independence® curriculum and individualized services designed for adults with autism.
