Target is coming to Vineyard Towne Center, the 260,000-square-foot retail center Vestar is developing in Queen Creek, Arizona. The mega retailer will join Sprouts Farmers Market as a second anchor in the open-air center, which is one of five ground-up developments Vestar is building in Arizona. Sprouts will open in July 2023 and Target’s opening is slated for the spring of 2025.
Located at the northwest corner of Gantzel and Combs roads, Vineyard Towne Center is currently under construction, with the first phase of the development scheduled to be complete this summer. The 23-acre site will feature a mix of shops, services and restaurants, including Chunk Cookies, Couture Nail Bar, European Wax Center, MOD Pizza, Mountain America Credit Union, Mr. Pickles, Nekter Juice Bar, Ono Hawaiian BBQ, Pacific Dental and Raising Cane’s.
“Vestar is thrilled to welcome Target to the growing roster of leading retailers coming to Vineyard Towne Center,” said Jeff Axtell, executive vice president of development for Vestar. “With Target and Sprouts, we’re confident this commercial center will become a top shopping destination for the booming Queen Creek community.”
Queen Creek ranks among the fastest-growing cities in the U.S., part of the expanding Phoenix metropolitan area. Greater Phoenix experienced the largest population gains in the nation in 2022, according to Census Bureau data.
Vestar, one of the nation’s leading owners, developers and managers of retail real estate, is heavily invested in bringing new retail properties to residents amid this population boom. Vineyard Towne Center is one of five new centers Vestar is developing in Arizona. Other ground-up developments in the pipeline include Queen Creek Crossing, Verrado Marketplace, Laveen Towne Center and The Shops at Lake Pleasant.
