Arizona home builder Minimal Living Concepts was founded in 2021 with the goal of creating the world’s most seamless path to buying new construction online. Co-founders Zander Diamont and Jared Amzallag started with a line of backyard guest homes— also known as casitas or accessory dwelling units (ADUs), and now, after building over 100 guest homes, they are expanding their business to include selling new semi-custom primary homes online.
Diamont and Amzallag, who met while running digital agencies and selling luxury real estate in Los Angeles, share a passion for harnessing the power of technology and digital marketing to simplify the often confusing and frustrating experience of trying to buy and build a new home. If cars could be configured and ordered online without setting foot in a dealership, they thought, why should buying a home be any different? Customers should be able to select a pre-designed model online, make a limited number of selections, and order a home to be built at the location of their choosing. Now they can.
At the company’s website, buyers can select from three modern floor plans (M1, M2, M3), see transparent pricing and estimated timelines for the project. A site visit and quote lock in the price, and the Minimal Living Concepts team handles everything from contract to completion. The smallest plan, M1, is a single story 2,959 square-foot home with 3 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, and 21-foot ceilings. Pricing starts at $1.175 million. The two-story M2 plan includes 3,659 square feet, 4 bedrooms plus flex space, 4.5 bathrooms, and 10-20 foot ceilings. Pricing starts at $1.43 million. The M3 single-story split plan includes a vaulted great room separating the parents from the kids wing. The 3,430 square-foot home includes 4 bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, and 10-20 foot ceilings. Pricing starts at $1.38 million. Minimal offers clients the ability to alter and customize the three floor plans and will be coming out with additional floor plans and facades.
“Similar to our modern minimal guest homes, we give the same attention to detail on our full-size designs,” shares Diamont. “Exterior use of charred wood and white brick, on M1, for example, creates a striking yet timeless façade. Inside, expansive living spaces and an open floor plan flow seamlessly, with floor-to-ceiling windows that blur the line between indoors and out. Organic materials including stone and wood are featured throughout our plans, and M2’s lush rooftop greenery takes biophilic design to a new level, blending the home with its surroundings.”
“We started with ADUs, which gave us an opportunity to develop our team and streamline our processes and technology,” adds Amzallag. “Now we’re excited to offer our full size home products to those looking to build a new home in the Greater Phoenix area. We also have three spec home projects underway in the Arcadia neighborhood, which will be completed in the first half of 2025.”
