In celebration of Women’s History Month, USA TODAY will again be honoring exceptional women across the country with their 4th annual 2025 USA TODAY Women of the Year.
This year, USA TODAY is honoring Phoenix’s own Community and Economic Development director, Christine Mackay. For almost a decade, Christine has played a key role in attracting business, boosting the economy and restoring city pride. You can read more about her story here.
Christine, along with 51 fellow local and 7 national honorees, has made a significant impact through their activism, igniting positive change on a broad scale to benefit our country and global community. They are a remarkable class of women from a variety of fields who advocate for issues from health to equality, justice, the environment and more.
The annual effort honors strong, resilient women who have made a significant impact on their communities, our country, and the world.
All 2025 honorees, which include 7 national public figures as well as local representatives from across the United States, was officially announced on February 27th to usher in Women’s History Month. Honorees will be featured throughout March in USA TODAY, across Gannett’s network of over 200 local and regional print publications, and the network’s highly engaged social channels.
