LaPour Partners has unveiled plans for JW Marriott Phoenix, a 340-key luxury hotel planned within One Arizona Center in downtown Phoenix. The project will adapt the existing 19-story, 351,600-square-foot Class A office building into an urban resort. Constructed in 1989, One Arizona Center is located at 400 E. Van Buren St. within Arizona Center, a one million-square-foot mixed-use destination offering office, retail, dining, entertainment and landscaped outdoor space.
Plans call for a ground-level pool overlooking a two-acre, park-like setting bordered by restaurants and active public spaces. Hotel amenities will include a spa, fitness center, signature restaurant, banquet and meeting facilities, and an exclusive club lounge. The building will offer average guest room sizes of more than 500 square feet. Expansive glass lines and floor-to-floor heights of 12 feet, 6 inches will provide natural light and broad views of downtown Phoenix and the surrounding mountains.
Meeting and event facilities are planned for the building’s 18th and 19th floors, where guests will have access to panoramic views. The property is also within walking distance of the Phoenix Convention Center and major employment, healthcare and educational destinations.
