The Maggiore Group, known for bold culinary experiences including Hash Kitchen, The Italiano, The Mexicano and The Sicilian Butcher, is officially opening its latest fast casual concept, The Delicatessen, at 12811 N. Tatum Blvd. in Phoenix.
Led by award-winning Chef Joey Maggiore, the New York Jewish-style deli will boast a vibrant menu filled with hand-carved sandwiches piled mile-high with house-cooked meats like mouthwatering smoked pastrami and house cured corned beef. The Deli will also feature a one-of-a-kind bagel bar featuring 25+ options to make your cream cheese come to life, from cheesecake to frutti pebbles, smoked salmon, and pastrami. And of course, the nostalgic bakery favorites such as black-and-white cookies and towering chocolate cake. Signature touches like a custom fountain soda bar and old school NY egg creams, vintage diner aesthetic, and bold, energetic design by Cristina Maggiore complete the immersive experience. Celebrating New York’s iconic deli heritage, The Delicatessen offers a nostalgic, yet fresh and fun dining experience designed to delight both lifelong deli enthusiasts and a new generation of food lovers.
“We are excited to open this one-of-a-kind bagel bar. We will also have a chopped Italian sub bar where guests can pick their meats and ingredients, we will chop it all up and put on a homemade semolina bun,” says Chef Joey Maggiore, co-founder of The Maggiore Group and Chef Joey Concepts. “Our New York-style bagels will be made fresh in-house daily, delivering that perfectly chewy texture and crisp golden exterior that true bagel fanatics crave.”
The Delicatessen will soon be hiring for dozens of positions including counter servers, food runners, prep cooks, line cooks and dishwashers. The Maggiore Group will release an official announcement later this month with hiring event information.
