Sundt Construction, Inc. received zoning approval at the Tuesday, July 15 Apache Junction City Council meeting to construct a 65,000 square foot manufacturing facility. The new industrial building will be the largest in Apache Junction and is expected to bring approximately 100 jobs to the city.
Sundt is currently in escrow to purchase this 36-acre parcel located west of the southwest corner of Tomahawk Road and US 60. The building will initially be used for offsite manufacturing (OSM), modularization and fabrication of structural and mechanical systems to support Sundt’s construction projects nationwide, with plans to expand into other specialties in the future.
Additionally, there will be a significant office buildout of approximately 10,000 square feet to support engineering and design services and provide facilities where Sundt will conduct training functions for employees throughout the region.
“Sundt has a stellar reputation, and we are beyond pleased they selected Apache Junction,” said Apache Junction Mayor Chip Wilson. “We look forward to the jobs it will bring to our community and the future groundbreaking.”
“Sundt is excited for the manufacturing capacity that this building will provide, and the additional land available at this site for future expansion opportunities,” said Sundt President & COO Cade Rowley. “Our research shows that there is a strong existing workforce in this area, along with significant residential development planned in Apache Junction that will only strengthen the local labor pool. Sundt is excited to be a big part of the Apache Junction business community.”
The groundbreaking is expected to occur in late 2025, with the date announced at a later time.
