After more than 30 years serving the Moon Valley community as Simpson Dental, the long-standing neighborhood practice has entered a new chapter as Nurture Smiles and Wellness. Under the leadership of Dr. Lauren P. Salvatore, DDS, the rebrand reflects a broader commitment to whole-family care and a more integrated approach to wellness.
“In today’s world, families are looking for efficient, quality care that considers the whole person,” said Dr. Salvatore. “We’ve evolved the practice to meet those needs, combining clinical expertise with services that support both short- and long-term wellness.”
Dr. Salvatore, who has practiced at the location for the past eight years, took over the family-run business following her father’s retirement. With firsthand experience as a mother navigating early feeding challenges with her own children, she developed a strong clinical interest in treating tongue and lip ties—oral restrictions that can interfere with breastfeeding, speech development, and overall oral health.
Recognizing a growing need in the community, Dr. Salvatore has introduced laser frenectomy procedures for infants and children using advanced LightScalpel® technology. These minimally invasive treatments improve function and comfort, while allowing families to address issues early in development.
The practice has also added aesthetic offerings geared toward busy parents and caregivers, including Botox®, SkinPen® microneedling, and targeted skincare—all aimed at providing convenient, supportive care in a single location.
In addition to these newer offerings, Nurture Smiles and Wellness continues to provide comprehensive general dentistry services, including preventive, restorative, and cosmetic care for patients of all ages. The practice accepts all major health insurance plans, making comprehensive care more accessible to the community.
Dr. Salvatore maintains a strong commitment to continuing education in airway development, sleep health, and breastfeeding. She works collaboratively with a trusted network of lactation consultants, speech-language pathologists, and myofunctional therapists to provide integrated support for growing families.
To improve access to care, the practice offers a membership plan for those without dental insurance, along with seasonal promotions for esthetic services.
