Capitol Engineering Co., a Phoenix-based metal fabrication company, announces that it has closed on an 11-acre, 120,000-square-foot industrial facility to expand its operations and support the company’s continued growth.
The new fabrication facility is located at 1945 W. Broadway in Phoenix and nearly triples the size of Capitol Engineering’s current operations. The company expects to occupy the new facility by July 1.
“We are extremely excited about the acquisition of our new facility and are confident this expansion of our headquarters will help support our continued growth,” says John Carney, President, Capitol Engineering Co. “The new facility will not only help us meet our current workload, but will support our growth plans by delivering a more modern and efficient workflow and additional equipment to support our team, operations and capabilities.”
Capitol Engineering has grown its revenue more than 15 percent year-over-year in the past five years with a 20 percent surge in its labor force. The company announced the appointment of Carney as President in December 2024. The new facility, expanded site, and additional equipment will continue to propel the company’s growth in all existing business lines and support the planned expansion of its structural steel business, which will include additional hiring opportunities.
The new facility on W. Broadway boasts a 6,000-square-foot administration office, a 14,400-square-foot flex building, and four production/manufacturing bays encompassing approximately 95,000 square feet. The site is zoned A-1 (Heavy Industrial) with an expansive perimeter around the property for storage and maneuvering of materials and equipment with close proximity to freeways and Sky Harbor airport.
