Entrepreneur and hospitality industry veteran, Freddy Nguyen, has partnered with supercar enthusiast and well-known YouTuber, James “The Stradman,” to co-create Strad Pizza. Located on Scottsdale and Thunderbird Roads, the pizzeria concept will celebrate its official grand opening on Saturday, April 12 from 6-9 p.m.
Aptly named after The Stradman, Strad Pizza offers an edgy twist on classic New York style slice pizza with a side of supercars. Offering 1,215 square feet of space, the interior is sleek and streamlined with pops of bright colors and neon lighting throughout. The layout offers an updated take on the traditional pizza parlor with guests ordering at the counter and grabbing a seat at the long bar. A sleek garage door opens to provide an indoor/outdoor ambience that completes the elevated and trendy fast causal vibe.
The menu features homemade pizzas, available as both 20 inch pies and by the slice, as well as pizza knots with fun and quirky flavor combos such as the Cheesy Garlic Truffle Knots, Cinnamon Toast Crunch Knots and Stuffed Nutella Knots. As a nod to the traditional pizza parlor, the restaurant also offers vintage sodas and signature Strad Swirls, the concept’s take on the perfect soft serve ice cream cone. Above all, Strad Pizza focuses on providing its customers with high quality ingredients, excellent customer service and a fun and approachable experience.
Everything at Strad Pizza ties back to a love of supercars, especially when it comes to the decor. The artwork on the walls showcases shots of some of Stradman’s favorites cars while the crown gem is a custom mural by well-known muralist and graffiti artist, Jack Soren, on the restaurant’s exterior. The expansive art piece features two of Stradman’s most iconic supercars set in a colorful desert scene.

With nearly 4.5 million subscribers and 1.1 billion views on YouTube since his start in July 2012, James has an impressive and loyal fanbase. One thing that his fans may love even more than his YouTube videos is his merchandise, which Strad Pizza will offer plenty of. From t-shirts and hats to plastic souvenir cups, Strad Pizza’s merchandise is colorful, fun and collectible.
Nguyen brings years of hospitality, entertainment and branding experience to this new partnership. He is the founder of HUB 1111, a creative, design, development, investment, and video production company, in addition to serving as an entertainment consultant for Gila River Resorts & Casinos. He previously worked as the Chief Marketing Officer of The Maggiore Group, helping launch popular restaurant concepts Hash Kitchen and The Sicilian Butcher.

Strad Pizza will hold an official grand opening event on Saturday, April 12 from 6-9 p.m. The “Cars & Pizza” themed evening will be open to the public and will include a supercar show in partnership with presenting sponsor Highline Autos, DJ Meet 2 Nice U, pizza and soft drinks, special Strad Pizza merch, and of course, an appearance by The Stradman.
