Madison Elementary School District has partnered with GenTech, a community tech hub that provides personal tech support and STEM education programming, to bring industry-standard STEM education to Madison Park Middle School. The award-winning STEM program includes a curriculum on the latest technologies including AI, computer programming, robotics, and more.
GenTech instructors will be on campus at Madison Park Middle School 5 days a week, teaching students in grades 5th and 6th. The program will offer hands-on lessons in cutting-edge technologies including artificial intelligence, computer programming, and robotics. Students will work with state-of-the-art equipment such as advanced robotics, microcomputers and CAD software. Each class will allow students to progress from basic concepts to advanced applications over the course of the one year program.
“The GenTech Foundation opens doors for schools like Madison Park Middle School to access cutting-edge STEM education. Our partnership with Madison Elementary School District showcases how the foundation can bridge the gap between schools and essential tech education,” said Debbie Kovesdy, CEO and Founder of GenTech. “STEM education is critical for preparing today’s students to enter an increasingly tech-focused world. With Arizona facing a shortage of over 20,000 STEM professionals and technicians, investing in student’s education is an investment in our state’s future. We invite other districts and corporate partners to join us in preparing Arizona’s students for the tech-driven future.”
GenTech provides STEM program participants with cutting-edge tech equipment and a curriculum focused on preparing kids for the future, taught by highly trained instructors who have been trained in safety, class management, teaching pedagogy, and instructional best practices.
GenTech’s STEM program is currently utilized in over 300 classrooms and community centers throughout the Valley, providing schools a cost-effective and sustainable approach to teaching critical STEM skills.
