Sundt Construction, Inc. has promoted construction industry veteran Cade Rowley to President and Chief Operating Officer. In his new role, Rowley will serve as leader of all operational strategy and execution, overseeing each of the company’s seven business units. Mike Hoover, Sundt’s President and CEO since 2016, will continue to serve as CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors.

“Throughout his 27-year career with Sundt, Cade has demonstrated exceptional adaptability, business acumen and character,” said Hoover. “He is the right leader to help steer Sundt through its next chapter of growth.”

Prior to being named President and COO of the company, Rowley served as President of Sundt’s Industrial Group, which has nearly tripled in volume to over a $1.3 billion in annual revenue in less than three years. Under Rowley’s leadership Sundt has become a known expert in multiple industrial construction sectors including water/wastewater, heavy industrial and mining, and advanced technology. Rowley also played an instrumental role in the company’s successful expansion from a regionally focused contractor to a national presence with offices and jobsites in more than two dozen states.

Rowley joined Sundt in 1998 as a field engineer in the company’s Heavy Civil (now Transportation) Group and subsequently advanced through multiple roles in business development, preconstruction and operations. He served as Senior Vice President of Sundt’s Transportation Group before being tapped to lead the Industrial Group in 2022. Rowley holds a degree in civil engineering from Arizona State University and is a registered Professional Engineer.

Active in both the construction industry and the community, Rowley has served on the executive committee for the Arizona Chapter of the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of America and the Board of Governors and Political Action Committee Board of Trustees for the national AGC. He is actively involved with the Beavers, a heavy civil organization that supports and promotes heavy engineering construction and works to encourage college students to pursue careers in heavy construction. Outside of work, Rowley has been actively involved in his faith community, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and youth scouting through the Boy Scouts of America, for more than 30 years.
