Carvana, an industry pioneer for buying and selling used cars online, is proud to announce its participation in the Electronic Secure Title and Registration Transformation (eSTART) Coalition as a founding member. The eSTART Coalition is a group of automotive industry stakeholders advocating for the application of modern digital solutions to state and local DMV operations.
“Carvana has changed the way people buy and sell cars in large part by using technology to drive better customer experiences, and we are excited to advocate for a similar evolution in vehicle title and registration as a founding member of the eSTART Coalition,” said Christina Keiser, Carvana’s Executive Vice President of Strategy. “We look forward to joining forces with other industry leaders and government decision-makers to implement secure solutions like electronic signatures that not only save customers time and money but are also more efficient for DMVs.”
Carvana will support the Coalition in working with government decision-makers to advocate for the evolution of current title and registration processes. The Coalition will focus on three key opportunities to modernize vehicle transactions:
- Permitting electronic signatures on all title and registration documents;
- Adopting tools for electronic title and registration submission and processing; and
- Enabling electronic vehicle records transfers.
These changes, if implemented, will save valuable time and resources for customers, DMVs, and all industry participants.
The eSTART Coalition welcomes and encourages other organizations, such as government, industry partners and associations, to join.
