Jeff Holt has been named president and general manager of Cigna Medical Group. In this role, Holt will lead the medical group through its next chapter of growth and innovation, and build on its 50-year legacy of providing nationally recognized high-quality medical care and services to Arizonans.
“Jeff is an experienced, forward-thinking leader who will drive our strategy to reach and serve more lives, and increase access to high-quality, affordable care,” said Matt Bennett, senior vice president of Care Delivery for Evernorth, the health services business of Cigna Corporation. “He will also partner with leaders across the organization to help us evolve how care is accessed and delivered to best meet the needs of our customers.”
Holt has 20 years of experience leading large integrated health care organizations with roles in strategy and business development, operations, clinical quality and patient and provider experience. He most recently served as chief operating officer at a 472-bed hospital within Robert Wood Johnson Barnabas Health, the largest health care provider in New Jersey and teaching affiliate of Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. During his tenure, he drove meaningful growth and achieved impressive quality, patient satisfaction, and business results.
Prior to this, he served in various executive leadership positions, including chief operating officer at several hospitals within Kaleida Health, the largest health care provider in western New York, and vice president over multiple clinical service lines at Meridian Health. He recently relocated to Phoenix from New York.
Holt received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the State University of New York College at Geneseo in Geneseo, New York, and a Master of Public Administration from New York University Robert F. Wagner School of Public Service in New York, New York.
Cigna Medical Group, a division of Cigna HealthCare of Arizona, Inc. is one of the Valley’s largest multi-specialty group practices with 20 health care centers located throughout metropolitan Phoenix. Most health care centers are equipped with several medical services under one roof, so patients can see their doctor, fill prescriptions and get lab work done.
