The Spotlight Bar is a brand-new experience coming to the Herberger Theater Center. Historically the center has partnered with third party concessionaires but starting April 23, the Herberger Theater will bring its own unique, event-inspired, and handpicked beverages, snacks, and offerings to the overall guest experience.
Mark Mettes, President & CEO, announced “After working with many great concessionaires over the years, we are very excited to transform this service into an integral part of the guest experience at the Herberger Theater Center. The guest experience is an essential focus of who we are and The Spotlight Bar will elevate that through an exciting menu and extraordinary service which will complement the performances by our amazing Resident Companies and other talented performing companies that grace our stages.”
The Spotlight Bar will have its grand opening on Saturday, April 23, alongside the Urban Wine Walk in downtown Phoenix. The Herberger Theater is excited to reveal this new guest experience and participate in the Urban Wine Walk from 1p.m. to 5 p.m. For $5.00, guests will receive a wine sample and small bite. The community is invited to visit and experience The Spotlight Bar, whether you’re a part of the wine walk, or a patron of the arts.
The Spotlight Bar will be open during performances as well as the theater’s events, festivals, and more!
The Herberger Theater Center is Arizona’s center stage, engaging the community through diverse arts experiences that ignite emotion, stimulate conversation, and inspire connections with the arts. Built in 1989 to foster the growth of performing arts and revitalize downtown Phoenix, the Herberger Theater has celebrated the diverse, multicultural heritage of the Phoenix community with accessible performing arts experiences year after year. It is proud to be home to five resident performing arts companies: Arizona Theatre Company, iTheatre Collaborative, Arizona Opera, Childsplay Theatre, and Arizona Broadway Theatre. The Herberger Theater also sustains several arts education and outreach programs that provide children with a chance to experience the beauty and magic of live theater.
