Club Pilates, the nation’s largest premium Pilates franchise, has temporarily closed three of its Valley studios following the Governor’s recent executive order to fight the spread of COVID-19 in Arizona. Local franchise locations include Scottsdale Shea, Gainey Ranch and Arcadia.
“Since reopening on Friday, May 15, we have taken every possible measure to not only meet, but exceed the CDC guidelines to help stop the spread of COVID-19 and ensure the safety of our members, staff and our community,” says franchise owner Yvette Jacobs. “However, out of respect for the Governor and his order to shut down, as well as our goal to be part of the solution, we have temporarily closed our studios once again.”
In the interim, Club Pilates is offering live Mat Pilates classes through their private Facebook group page and Club Pilates GO On Demand video streaming to keep members working out at home. In addition, the boutique studios are now offering a re-opening membership special at grand opening pricing. New members can receive 20 percent off for 90 days with no upfront payments or deposits required. Simply contact the studios directly for details.
“This is our way of saying thank you for sticking this out with us during this difficult time,” says Jacobs. “We want everyone to be safe, healthy and strong as we respectfully and responsibly navigate through this pandemic. We will strive to do our best to get back up and running as soon as we are allowed.”
For the last two months, Club Pilates has operated under strict CDC guidelines, reduced classes sizes, and enhanced their cleaning measures. They will continue these protocols when they reopen later this month.
Club Pilates offers a total body workout that help with posture, balance, flexibility, and strength. Each studio offers different classes that utilizes a variety of equipment, including reformers, EXO chairs, TRX, springboard and Barre. Yvette Jacobs and her husband Keith own three Valley locations in Scottsdale and Phoenix. Their newest location in Arcadia opened in March 2018.
Founded in 2007, Club Pilates is a boutique fitness studio that specializes in strength-training classes for anyone, at any age. Based in Costa Mesa, CA, the company is experiencing rapid growth and expects to have nearly 400 locations open by the end of the year. With more than 500 instructors teaching over seven million workouts each year, Club Pilates is the first studio to create a 500-hour Teacher Training Program designed to thoroughly and safely teach group reformer Pilates apparatus classes along with TRX, Triggerpoint, and Barre.
