The Tempe Chamber Foundation and City of Tempe came together to celebrate another successful summer of Career Ready Tempe, recognizing the high school students, local businesses and community partners who made the program possible.

The celebration brought together student interns, business hosts, education leaders, elected officials and community partners to recognize the accomplishments of the 2026 interns and highlight the impact of connecting young people with real-world career experiences.

Career Ready Tempe is a community partnership between the Tempe Chamber Foundation and the City of Tempe, designed to provide students with hands-on workplace experience while connecting them with local businesses and career opportunities. Through their internships, students gain exposure to professional environments, develop workplace skills and begin exploring potential career pathways.

The evening highlighted the people behind the program and the shared commitment to developing Tempe’s future workforce. Representatives from the City of Tempe’s Office of Education, Career & Family Services and Economic Development Department, the Tempe Chamber Foundation and Tempe Union High School District all play important roles in implementing and supporting Career Ready Tempe.

The evening concluded with recognition of the 2026 student interns and the businesses that opened their doors to provide internship opportunities. This year’s participating business and community hosts included Landings Credit Union, NMG Aerospace, Printing Specialists, Hazen and Sawyer, Bike Saviours, City of Tempe Economic Development, Drink Me! Tea Room, Gardel Engineering, Times Media Group, Conscious Gear, Focused Awareness Institute, Handwrytten, Lights Camera Discover, Tempe City Council, Caliente Construction, Rio Salado College and Vestar.

Congratulations to all the Career Ready Tempe student interns on their accomplishments, and thank you to every business that invested time and resources into helping a student gain valuable professional experience.

Career Ready Tempe reflects what is possible when education, business and community come together with a shared goal: preparing young people for meaningful careers while building a workforce that meets the needs of Tempe’s growing business community.
