To commemorate Arizona Forward’s 50th anniversary and the 41st annual Environmental Excellence Awards, the organization recently presented a special award to Intel to recognize the company’s consistent and outstanding achievements when it comes to environmental sustainability. Intel’s efforts span its internal operations and collaborations with Arizona nonprofit and conservation organizations.
Intel’s sustainability goals span water, energy, climate, and waste. This includes Intel’s goal to achieve net positive water by 2030, achieve zero waste to landfill by 2023, and achieve net zero greenhouse emissions (scope 1 and 2) by 2040.
Intel in Arizona has received various recognitions over the last few years, including awards for contributions to Arizona’s technology industry, manufacturing sector, inclusivity and diversity in procurement spending, and corporate philanthropy. In 2022, Intel was also named a finalist for Arizona Forward’s 40th Annual Environmental Excellence Awards.
