This holiday season, forgo the big-box retailers in favor of supporting local artisans – and have a whole lot of fun along the way. Merchantile Market, a new, FREE ADMISSION outdoor artisan marketplace featuring all things vintage, unique and handmade. This incredible event is brought to you by its already fan-favorite brick and mortar counterpart, The Merchantile of Scottsdale located in Old Town. They’re bringing their love of locals and the creativity they bring to the outdoor market scene.
Schedule of Market Dates:
The first of ten Saturday markets slated for 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. takes place on Small Business Saturday, on Saturday, Nov. 27, at 1500 N McClintock Drive in Tempe, with the following popping-up on select Saturday’s each month through April 9.
What to Expect:
- The chance to peruse the works of dozens of local artisans and businesses
- Unique, handmade painted artifacts and home decor
- Handcrafted cards, jewelry, accessories and apparel
- Locally made beauty and baked goods
- The chance to decorate and enter in a holiday stroller parade with the whole family
- Revolving list of local food trucks
Stop by during Merchantile Market’s inaugural event Nov. 27 and score a free Small Business Saturday gift bag, and bring the little ones along in a decorated stroller to take part in a Holiday Stroller Parade and compete for fun prizes. Plus, guests will get the chance to snap a picture with the big man himself, Santa Clause, stopping along the way to meet and greet his Tempe fans.
