August will be Hero Appreciation Month at its drive-in events site at WestWorld of Scottsdale. As a thank you to healthcare workers, school teachers and education staff, police, fire and military personnel for their heroic services during these unprecedented times, Pop Up Events is offering discounted tickets to their families valid for any movie in the month of August.

“2020 has certainly shown us who the real heroes are, so we wanted to find a way to thank them for their services by offering a small token of appreciation during this time,” said Steve LeVine, CEO of SLE. “We hope our drive-in site can provide them a safe, fun place to get away for the evening with their family and friends.”

Additionally, there will be a donation line added at checkout for anyone wanting to make a donation of any denomination that will go directly to organizations helping healthcare and education professionals that are in need.

“During our initial drive-in run, we offered a donation line for workers that had been affected and were able to raise over $3,000 in a very short period of time,” said LeVine.  “It’s a great feeling to know that our supporters want to help any way they can, and it shows that a few dollars really can add up.”

Pop Up Events’ August calendar includes showings of Frozen II, Jumanji: The Next Level and Ghostbusters with more to be announced soon.  Healthcare workers, school teachers and education staff, police, fire and military personnel can use code HERO at checkout to receive 50 percent off their ticket and must be prepared to show their qualifying identification at check-in.
