Travel + Leisure announced its 2021 It List, featuring the best new hotels and resorts of the past year, and ADERO Scottsdale, an Autograph Collection hotel, managed by Aqua-Aston Hospitality, earned a coveted spot on the illustrious list following its debut as Scottsdale’s first Dark Sky Zone resort in October 2020.

The new resort joins Autograph Collection’s diverse and dynamic portfolio of hotels and resorts around the world that are independent, one-of-a-kind, and champion values of vision, design, and craft. Featuring elevated views of the famed Four Peaks and McDowell Mountain Range, the resort is spread out over 17 wide-open acres offering convenient access to 55,000 acres of desert terrain, and aspires to be guests’ gateway to the outdoors. The spirit of the ADERO brand – with intended and elevated experiences and amenities – reflects a true sense of place and offers a modern sanctuary inspired by the living elements of its location in the rugged Sonoran Desert.

“We are honored to be recognized by Travel + Leisure as one of the best new hotels in the world,” said General Manager Dieter Schmitz. “As an Autograph Collection hotel, we strive to offer a guest experience that is exactly like nothing else, with unique and curated programming inspired by the destination. We look forward to continuing to provide our guests with warm hospitality, year-round adventures, and hands-on experiences from a whole new view.”

For this distinguished honor, the Travel + Leisure 2021 It List recognizes 73 of the most impressive new and revamped properties that debuted in the past year. Selected by Travel + Leisure editors and contributors, the It List, featuring hotels located around the globe, underscores the resiliency, creativity and standout hospitality of the travel industry, particularly in the past year. These hotels are sure to encourage wanderlust, offering travelers more reasons to get out and explore the world as it opens up once again.
