Virtual Event to Provide Education to Refugee Business Owners

BBB Serving the Pacific Southwest

Immigrants and refugees are 25% more likely to start businesses than other populations according to Harvard Business Review. BBB Serving the Pacific Southwest, The International Rescue Commission, and Empower by GoDaddy, have united to host a one-day virtual event committed to supporting international entrepreneurs. The complementary summit, scheduled on May 29, 2020, will include sessions on social media, website curation, and e-commerce training from experts in the industry.

The International Entrepreneur Summit lectures will accelerate entrepreneurs who are learning to navigate promoting their virtual landscape. Many refugees do not have the resources and the capital to maintain their business. Even prior to the current crisis, many businesses were not privy to virtual offerings that can help their business stand out. The goal of this event is to provide the resources necessary to overcome these challenges.

Attendees will have the chance to win prizes or GoDaddy products. Registration is open, but spaces are limited, so sign up using the event registration link.

Additional questions regarding the event can be emailed to Luke Amargo, Entrepreneur Program Manager at BBB Serving the Pacific Southwest.

The International Entrepreneur Summit is the first of a three-part series that will also include educational tracks for Veterans and women business owners. Visit our website to sign up for future events.
