Stoker Ostler, a member of BMO Financial Group, has announced the appointment of four new managing partners following the retirement of founders Phil Stoker and Creg Ostler.

Stoker Ostler provides a range of wealth advisory, financial planning and investment management services for affluent individuals and families, small-to-medium-sized institutions and non-profit organizations. Stoker and Ostler founded the firm in 1997.  It subsequently grew into a highly successful investment advisory firm with offices in Scottsdale and Salt Lake City.

Stoker and Ostler were directly involved in the selection of the new managing partners and each has been highly involved with the operations and growth of the firm since its founding.  The new managing partners are:

  • Mike Bolar, Chief Investment Officer and Senior Portfolio Manager
  • Michelle Decker, Chief Operations Manager and Senior Portfolio Manager
  • Mike Halls, Chief Financial Officer and Portfolio Manager
  • April Ward, Managing Director and Senior Wealth Advisor

“This new leadership team brings together incredible talent that will greatly benefit our customers and further our efforts to continue to expand our presence in key markets,” said Steve Matteucci, president of BMO Private Bank – Western U.S.

The new managing partners plan to continue the firm’s “open architecture” philosophy – seeking out best-in-breed financial solutions and providing clients with the personal attention, expertise and objectivity they have come to expect from a small advisory firm.
