General Manager and Director of Sales Appointed at New Phoenix Radisson North

Seasoned hospitality professional Mathew Ezor has been appointed general manager of the Radisson Phoenix North, slated to open at the end of the year under the oversight of hospitality management and consulting team R.A. Rauch & Associates (RAR). Rochelle Samms, who will work alongside Ezor to facilitate a high-quality guest experience and streamlined operations, has been appointed as the hotel’s director of sales.

Rauch & Associates, a full-spectrum hotel and hospitality management and consulting firm based in San Diego, Calif. “Both are go-getters whose passion for excellence will enhance the guest experience and drive sales.”

As general manager, Ezor will oversee the day-to-day operations of the 284-room, full-service hotel located at 10220 N. Metro Pkwy E. A 20-year management veteran, Ezor brings nearly a decade of experience with the Radisson brand, having worked in a number of progressive roles including marketing, director of rooms, revenue (yield) manager and assistant general manager. During his time with Radisson, Ezor has contributed to his hotels securing coveted awards, including a AAA Four Diamond rating, Radisson Hotel of the Year and Radisson Brand Champion.

In her new capacity as director of sales, Samms will be responsible for leading and improving all aspects of the hotel’s sales and marketing efforts. An area expert with more than 13 years of experience in Arizona-focused sales, Samms held positions with local Hilton properties, Crowne Plaza Phoenix Airport and Wyndham Garden Phoenix Midtown. Samms also has more than five years of brand experience developed at the Radisson Hotel Phoenix City Center.
