Fat Ox, The Mission and Zinc Bistro to Reopen for Carryout on May 1

Starting tomorrow, Friday, May 1, Chef Matt Carter is proud to announce he’s reopening his collection of award-winning local restaurants, Fat Ox, The Mission and Zinc Bistro for curbside carryout. Launching today for pre-orders via phone (with online ordering coming soon), Fat Ox and The Mission in downtown Scottsdale will be open daily for lunch and dinner from noon to 8pm, while Zinc Bistro and The Mission at Kierland Commons will be open from noon to 7 pm. Serving up carryout-friendly versions of each restaurant’s signature dishes and paired with to-go cocktails, beer and wine, Valley foodies can now take a culinary tour of Italy, Central and South America and France, all without breaking quarantine.

Even tastier, Fat Ox, The Mission and Zinc Bistro are also offering all-new family-style meals starting at $100 for a four-person feast. (More details below.) Plus, Chef Matt Carter and Executive Chef Rochelle Daniel have also whipped up Fat Ox’s first-ever lunch menu, brimming with two-fisted sub sandwiches such as meatball or Italian salumi served with charcoal-roasted potato salad.

Plus Chef Carter and The Mission’s Executive Chef Zachary Riddell have also created all-new dishes such as Tecate-marinated steak fajitas, as well as a Kobe beef Sonoran-style hotdog for both lunch and dinner. It’s the perfect paring for The Mission’s all-new Margarita Kits (serves 12 to 16, $50 – $80), including 1 bottle Milagro/Tequila Corrido + 32oz handmade margarita base mix + two limes.

  • Chipotle Caesar Salad (Lil Gem lettuce, shaved radish, black beans, cilantro and cotija)
  • Pollo a la Brasa (whole-roasted free range chicken, aji rocoto, oregano, black pepper)
