Dutch Bros. Coffee and Customers Raise Bucks-for-Kids

Dutch Bros. Coffee  Dec. 22, 2014

kaylynnOn Friday, Dec. 5, Dutch Bros. Coffee and customers banded together to raise $226,278 for children on the company’s annual Buck for Kids Day.

Dutch Bros. locations in Arizona donated a “buck” for every drink sold to support Voices for CASA Children, raising $12,600. “We rocked it,” said Dutch Bros.co-founder Travis Boersma. “Anytime we can work with our customers to invest in the amazing organizations in our communities that provide support and opportunities for children, we are truly blessed.”

To raise funds, all 233 locations donated proceeds from that day to children’s causes selected by local owner-operators. Organizations supported ranged from regional Boys & Girls Clubs, to CASA programs to Christmas toy collection programs.

“We are enthusiastic about the results for CASA,” said Jim Thompson, Dutch Bros. Phoenix-area owner. “Children are resilient and amazing, but anytime we can help them thrive it’s a real blessing.”

“We want to see all children have love and encouragement to grow and learn,” said Travis. “Thank you to everyone who came out to support these organizations and children.”

Dutch Bros. Coffee is the country’s largest privately held, drive-through coffee company, with over 230 locations and over 2,000 employees in seven states. It supports many organizations through three company-wide give back days each year.
