Ironman Refurbished Business Computers (IRBC) was founded by computer teachers, Ken Chan and his sister Linda, when students kept asking them for low cost laptops and desktops. Focusing on top consumer rated business grade Dell and HP models, the two began refurbishing and customizing computers for use by Valley families and businesses in 2011.
The brother and sister team now sell in excess of 150 computers monthly to small and mid-sized companies, primarily through referrals and Social Media, with that number expected to double by the end of the year.

According to Linda Chan, “Clients have been asking us for these services for some time. Many companies simply can’t afford having an IT staff. This will allow businesses anywhere in the US to buy equipment through us and get affordable support, or they can just contract with us for services.”
The Chans recently partnered with InStock, also based in Chandler, to provide repair services to local customers. The two also own the FutureKiddie program which teaches basic computer skills to children ages 3-7 at 19 preschools in Phoenix.
The nationwide 24/7 service coverage and other Annual Contract options will be offered at 30-60% off manufacturer’s maintenance program pricing. Additional project-based professional services, including removal of existing equipment and installation, will also be available.
The two believe that IRBC’s success has been due to their customer service model which allows customers to text in orders and they also offer free delivery.

Ken Chan says, “One of the biggest challenges for us on this new program will be getting the word out nationwide. For local sales, Social Media has been very good to us and we also receive client referrals.”
IRBC recently made a bulk sale of 32 units to a Jerome School District. The district found out about the company on Facebook.
Their customers include Scottsdale Chiropractic. According to Dr. Robert Leman, owner of the practice that has 5 Valley locations; “I have been using them for over 2 years for our computer purchases and everything has worked flawlessly.”
