Annual Day of Service Honors Larry H. Miller Dealerships Founder’s Legacy, April 26

Larry H. Miller Dealerships | April 27, 2018

Larry H. Miller, founder of Larry H. Miller Dealerships, believed that prospering in business brought an obligation to enrich lives and to make the world a better place. On April 26, Phoenix employees honored his mantra to “go about doing good until there is too much good in the world” by donating over 600 hours to the community for the ninth annual Larry H. Miller Day of Service.

Each year, employees pay tribute to the late Miller on his birthday by participating in community service projects in all the states where the Larry H. Miller Group does business. Since 2010, more than 9,744 employees have donated over 38,972 Day of Service hours at 192 locations in seven states. In Phoenix alone, employees have contributed more than 4,000 hours in Miller’s honor.

“Our mission and values are an integral part of business at our dealerships every day,” said Pat Kroneberger, senior vice president of operations, Larry H. Miller Dealerships. “This annual event gives our employees an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the Phoenix community and bring our values to life in a tangible way.”

This year, 169 employees representing eight Phoenix-area Larry H. Miller Dealerships – Larry H. Miller Nissan Mesa, Larry H. Miller Dodge Ram Peoria, Larry H. Miller Hyundai Peoria, Larry H. Miller Toyota Peoria, Larry H. Miller Dodge Ram Avondale, Larry H. Miller Volkswagen Avondale, Larry H. Miller Chrysler Jeep Avondale and Larry H. Miller Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Surprise – joined forces to lend their time to seven area charitable organizations including CASS Vista Colina Family Shelter, A New Leaf, Heart for the City Garden, West Valley Child Crisis Center, Hope’s Closet, St. Mary’s Food Bank and St. Vincent de Paul.

Some of the volunteer activities included employees helping to revitalize campus housing units, assisting in community gardens, stocking supply shelves and filling food boxes all for those in need.

In addition to its annual Day of Service, Larry H. Miller Dealerships has a strong legacy of giving back to its communities. Through its charitable organization, Larry H. Miller Charities, more than $1.2 million has been donated to qualified nonprofit organizations throughout Arizona since 1996. Beneficiaries include Friends of Saguaro National Park, Maricopa Pediatric Foundation, Old Pueblo Children’s Services, Phoenix Children’s Hospital, Phoenix Homeward Bound, Ronald McDonald House, Sharing Down Syndrome Arizona, Special Olympics Arizona, Wings for Women and many more. www.lhmauto.com
