Arizona-based Tequila Corrido has appointed Bill Griffin as Texas Sales Manager to further develop the Tequila Corrido brand amongst existing and prospective consumers, accounts, and partners across the state. In his role, Griffin will achieve sales objectives and implement creative initiatives to increase exposure of the Blanco, Reposado and Añejo expressions.
“In the short time since Tequila Corrido arrived in Texas earlier this year, we have secured a place within the top shelves of nearly 100 fine retailers throughout the state,” said Tequila Corrido Life Coach Brian Raab. “Our sales team did an amazing job of introducing us to the San Antonio and Dallas-Fort Worth community, and now it’s time to fortify those relationships with Bill leading the way.”
Griffin brings a passion for brand building, established industry relationships, and nearly two decades of experience in the tequila industry. He was instrumental in elevating household-name brands, including Blue Chair Bay Rum and Paqui Tequila. Griffin was previously Texas State Manager for Azunia Tequila, where he grew the company for seven years across four states.
“Consumers have a lot of options when they pass through the tequila aisle,” said Griffin. “I believe Tequila Corrido has something special to offer. As an additive free option spearheaded by a legendary Maestra Tequilera, I want to build an excitement for all that Tequila Corrido stands for.”
Griffin’s hiring follows a growing executive team of industry veterans and strong expansion efforts in the Southwest.
“Bill is one of the biggest players in the tequila industry,” said Tequila Corrido COO Anthony Boyle. “He knows the complexity of the industry but most importantly, he understands what people want in Texas. With Bill’s talent, we’re going to be able to share our story with retailers and customers.”
Raab and Boyle, along with their business partner and celebrated entrepreneur and philanthropist, Mike Watts, plan to launch on the East Coast next.
