East Coast Italian Food and Pizzeria Concept Will Open a Brand New Concept in Tempe

Crust Simply Italian, a growing East Coast Italian food and drink concept will open a brand new concept, Crust Pizzeria, in Tempe in the upcoming weeks. The restaurant will be located on Baseline Road, in Lake Country Village Shopping Center.

Michael Merendino, Crust owner, and a first-generation American whose parents both originate from Italy, serves up Italian food like he would for his own family. After growing up in his father’s pizzeria on Long Island, N.Y. Merendino brought authentic East Coast Italian eatery with Crust Simply Italian and is now redefining the pizza space with Crust Pizzeria. Inspired by Crust Simply Italian traditional recipes and flavors, Crust Pizzeria brings a twist to pies, slices, pasta, wings, and salads to the table for your
friends and family. We are your go-to takeout spot, happy hour hangs, and favorite pizza joint.

“What we are doing here is fun, edgy, and youthful. Like no other,” said Merendino. “We believe in serving high-quality ingredients with the best prices, and incredible presentation. Pizza, wings, and pasta, so beautiful you will just have to take a picture!”

Crust Simply Italian was founded in Scottsdale in 2007 by Michael Merendino, a first-generation Italian-American from Long
Island, N.Y. The focus is on the age-old tradition of eating good food while enjoying the company of family, friends, and neighbors. The menu includes pizza, pasta, calzones, and other classic Italian comfort dishes as well as lighter entrees and an array of salads. Crust Pizzeria will be coming soon to Tempe in September 2023.
