Shake Shack will expand its West Valley presence with a new restaurant at Verrado Marketplace in Buckeye on Tuesday, October 20. Located at 1505 N. Verrado Way, Suite 102, the opening continues the company’s growth in Greater Phoenix, a market it entered a decade ago.

Shake Shack opened its first Arizona restaurant at Scottsdale Fashion Square in February 2016, followed by Phoenix’s Uptown Plaza in March of that year. Its footprint now includes restaurants in Phoenix, Scottsdale, Gilbert, Goodyear and Surprise. The Buckeye opening follows new Phoenix locations in Arcadia and on Happy Valley Road earlier in 2026.

The local growth comes during a broader national expansion. In its second-quarter shareholder update, Shake Shack reaffirmed plans to open 60 to 65 new company-operated restaurants in 2026, having opened 33 through the first half of the year. The company identified adding restaurants within existing markets as part of its development strategy.

The Buckeye restaurant joins Verrado Marketplace, a 500,000-square-foot shopping, dining and entertainment destination developed by Vestar in partnership with DMB Associates. Located at the northeast corner of Interstate 10 and Verrado Way, the center is designed to serve the Verrado community and the surrounding West Valley.

On opening day, the first wave of guests will receive custom Shake Shack tote bags. As part of its Stand for Something Good® commitment, the company will donate $1 for every sandwich sold at the Verrado Marketplace location on October 20 to St. Mary’s Food Bank, supporting nutritious food access for Arizona families, children and seniors facing food insecurity.
