Kitchell and Galvanize have been named the large and small/medium Businesses of the Year by the Greater Phoenix Chamber during the 33rd Annual IMPACT Awards held virtually on Thursday, December 3rd.
Large Business of the Year: Kitchell
“It’s incredibly exciting for me to accept the Greater Phoenix Chamber’s Business of the Year award on behalf of our employee owners at Kitchell, said president and CEO of Kitchell, Jim Swanson. “I couldn’t be more excited to have this acknowledgment of the impact we make in our state, and that we will continue to make into the future.”
Small/Medium Business of the Year: Galvanize
“It’s overwhelming to say the least, to be given such an incredible honor,” said Miranda Torres, campus operations manager with Galvanize. “It’s both intimidating, because it is a heavy weight to have on your shoulders, and a great honor, and something that I am going to bring back to my team that will bring them a lot of joy.”
The two companies were selected out of eight local companies which are recipients of the Chamber’s IMPACT Awards, honoring the accomplishments of small and large Valley businesses and the positive influences they have on the business community and economy.
“This year’s IMPACT Award recipients illustrate the strength and determination of the business community, despite the unprecedented times we have seen in 2020. They embody innovation, business acumen, and community giving,” said Greater Phoenix Chamber president and CEO Todd Sanders. “These organizations make an impact in our community every day and will continue to be stalwart leaders as our city moves forward as a national and global leader.”
The Chamber recognized eight businesses in four categories.
