The American College of Coverage and Extracontractual Counsel (ACCEC) has unanimously elected Polsinelli’s Troy Froderman as a member of its College. The ACCEC brings together preeminent lawyers representing the interests of both insurers and policyholders to improve the quality of the practice of insurance law and to increase civility and professionalism in the field.

“I am very honored that the board of directors elected me as a member of the College,” said Froderman, who serves as Polsinelli’s Insurance Recovery Practice Chair. “It means a great deal to me to know that attorneys who represent insurance companies as well as attorneys who represent policyholders were involved in the selection process.”

For more than 20 years, Froderman has represented corporate policyholders in business disputes with insurance carriers, working with them to maximize their insurance coverage investment.   As the leader of the firm’s Insurance Recovery Practice, Froderman and his team guide clients through the myriad of issues that arise in connection with property and casualty lines, product liability, toxic and mass torts, environmental and natural resources liabilities, errors and omissions policies, captive insurance issues and self-insured retentions.

In addition to practicing insurance recovery law, Froderman chairs Polsinelli’s Pro Bono Committee. Earlier this year, the firm earned a Beacon of Justice Award for its commitment to delivering legal services to those who cannot afford counsel. Polsinelli gave more than 22,000 hours toward the firm’s pro bono efforts, with approximately 28 percent of our attorneys performing more than 20 hours of pro bono work during the course of the year. Polsinelli attorneys committed time to 726 cases in FY14. Froderman also volunteers his time as a co-chair of the American Bar Association Insurance Coverage Subcommittee for Advertising and Intellectual Property and as past secretary and founding member of the Maricopa Bar Association Environmental Law. Froderman earned his B.A. from the DePauw University and his law degree from Vanderbilt University.

Polsinelli is a first generation Am Law 100 firm, is ranked 18th in number of U.S. partners (Law360, March 2014), and has more than 740 attorneys in 19 offices. Polsinelli was profiled in the June 2013 issue of The American Lawyer as the fastest-growing law firm in America over a five-year period and has maintained this position.
