Touchstone Health Services was one of two community providers selected to serve as an Autism Spectrum Disorder Center of Excellence by Mercy Care Plan and Mercy Maricopa Integrated Care. This new Center of Excellence will work closely with Touchstone’s Behavior Analytic Services Division.

In addition to Touchstone Health Services, Southwest Behavioral Health Services was also chosen as an Autism Spectrum Disorder Center of Excellence. Both providers will take a specialized whole-health approach that focuses on the physical and behavioral health of children, families and adults living with or at risk for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
“Mercy Care Plan and Mercy Maricopa, together with Southwest Behavioral and Touchstone, will work hard to ensure that children, youth and adults with ASD have the opportunity to use the Centers of Excellence as their behavioral and physical health provider,” said Tad Gary, Mercy Maricopa’s Chief Clinical Officer.
The Centers of Excellence will provide evidenced-based early intervention and treatment while aligning with the Arizona Vision, the Arizona Twelve Principles, the Guiding Principles for Recover-Oriented Adult Behavioral Health Services and Systems, Patient Centered Medical Home principles, and best practices for ASD according to the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
Touchstone Health Services will base the Center of Excellence from its North Phoenix Center located at 3602 E. Greenway Rd., Phoenix, AZ 85032, while continuing to provide services out of all four of its locations in Maricopa County.
