Insight and VMware opened a one-of-a-kind environment on July 22 to help businesses learn about and prepare for critical IT issues, such as business continuity and shifting to the cloud. The center is the only one of its kind in North America, outside of VMware’s own dedicated on-site technology at its Palo Alto, Calif., headquarters.
The center, located at Insight’s Global Headquarters in Tempe, Ariz., creates an environment that mirrors the IT infrastructure of most large enterprises. It offers a virtual corporate technology universe — from solutions for data centers, to the cloud, to mobile device management — so businesses can have a firsthand and real-world experience working through potential problems and solutions.
Frank Rauch, vice president of VMware’s Americas partners organization and Ken Lamneck, president and CEO, Insight Enterprises, Inc. were joined by local business leaders for the opening of the center.
Insight is now able to host IT and business leaders for demonstrations of the latest VMware technologies available for virtualization and cloud infrastructure solutions, including data center and cloud infrastructure, desktop virtualization and mobile computing.
VMware is a pioneer in virtualization and policy-driven automation, technology that makes business more agile, efficient and profitable. Insight Enterprises, a VMware Premier Corporate Reseller Partner, will use the solutions center as part of the company’s ongoing work helping businesses move their technology goals forward in the areas of hardware, software and service.
