OneGuard Home Warranties Becomes First Home Warranty Company Nationwide to Earn Esteemed Angie’s List Super Service Award

OneGuard Home Warranties March 17, 2015

OneGuard Home Warranties is the first home warranty company in America to earn the service industry’s coveted Angie’s List Super Service Award, reflecting an exemplary year of service provided to members of the local services marketplace and consumer review site in 2014.

Founded in 1990, OneGuard Home Warranties is trusted by homeowners in Arizona and Texas to fix major household systems and appliances that break down. Additionally, OneGuard eliminates the stresses of many home maintenance services – such as lawn care, pest control, window washing and HVAC tune-ups – which are not typically covered by home warranty companies.

“We are so proud of earning Angie’s List Super Service Award,” said Scott Smith, CEO of OneGuard Home Warranties. “Since our founding, we’ve been committed to first-rate customer service. We have a team that really cares about our customers. Ultimately, we believe that the OneGuard customer experience is what sets us apart from other home warranty companies.”

Angie’s List has nearly 3 million users nationwide who utilize the online rating service to identify potential service providers in more than 700 categories. For the last 10 years, home warranty companies have received the greatest percentage of poor scores. In 2014, more than 20 percent of member reviews rated home warranty companies with a “D” or “F.” OneGuard bucked the trend in 2014, consistently achieving a grade “A” more than 75 percent of the time.

“Typically, only about 5 percent of companies in each industry perform consistently well enough to earn our Super Service Award,” said Angie’s List founder Angie Hicks. “OneGuard is the only home warranty company that earned our Super Service Award in 2014. It’s a really high standard.”

Angie’s List Super Service Award winners must meet strict eligibility requirements, which include an “A” rating in overall grade, recent grade and review period grade. Further, the company must be in good standing with Angie’s List, pass a background check and abide by Angie’s List operational guidelines. Service company ratings are updated daily on Angie’s List. Companies are graded on an A through F scale in areas ranging from price to professionalism to punctuality.
