iAcquire today announced the appointment of Anita Malik as director of Content Operations. Anita, a founder and former editor of East West Magazine, brings more than a decade of experience in content management and creation. Malik joins the team to take iAcquire and the soon-to-launch writer network ClearVoice to the next level. She will lead a team of 20+ in-house journalists and bridge the technology development with editorial, all while overseeing the growth of the network of 20,000+ Google Plus authors through ClearVoice.
Mallik comes to iAcquire after a successful and entrepreneurial career in digital media. Most recently, she served as co-founder and CEO of BrideRush, the only 360 vendor booking solution online. Prior to BrideRush, Anita served as managing editor and content director for Jawa, a mobile content and digital marketing company. Malik also spent seven years at the helm, as founder and editor-in-chief, of East West, overseeing the content, marketing and direction of what became the foremost pan-Asian American lifestyle magazine in the country. Her journalism career began in 2002 as a lifestyle reporter for Arizona Republic.
“We made the decision that bringing in a process/operation and technology leader was the best direction for that department and iAcquire as a whole,” notes Jay Swansson co-CEO at iAcquire. “We spent a lot of time canvasing Phoenix for the best talent we could find, and Anita was our top pick.”
In 2013, iAcquire hired 30 new employees, adding to its already robust team of 100. Most recently, the digital marketing agency brought on Pragya Tandon, MBA, as senior financial analyst. In this role, she will be assisting the leadership team with support for business growth, developing and implementing a forecasting process as well as analyzing iAcquire’s ongoing results. In total, five employees were brought on to the iAcquire team in August and there are five positions currently open.
